Our Life Groups at Hillside Church
At Hillside Methodist Community Church, we offer a variety of groups that you are welcome to join.
FATHERS is HillSide’s men’s fellowship ministry.
All men over 18 are encouraged to join us, regardless of whether you are a father or not. We meet every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month for 7am to share in worship, prayer and a topic whilst enjoying a light breakfast. Fathers are: Accountable To Heathly Enduring Relationships and Spirituality
If possible to layout Fathers like this:
The purpose of FATHERS is to change our lifestyles as it relates to our wives and children. We strive for a high level of accountability among the group. We are not looking for inspiration, but for action. We want to be better husband’s and better father’s.

“Growing in Christ together”
Life groups (also known as “cell groups, home groups or small groups”) are growing in popularity as a way for us to make the connections we need with fellow believers. At Hillside our Life groups exist as a way for people to engage in biblical community that helps them become more like Jesus in every area of their lives. The goal of our life groups is to create environments where Spirit-driven, life-giving experiences can flourish. While the type of group or study can help promote a positive environment, the real things that promote a healthy environment for flourishing are prayer, support, service, worship, accountability, conflict resolution, and simply doing life together; our objective ultimately is to help people engage in relationships that help them become more like Christ.
It is in our life groups that people can get close enough to know each other, to care and share, to challenge and support, to confide and confess, to forgive and be forgiven, to laugh and weep together, to be accountable to each other, to watch over each other and to grow together. Our Life groups are God’s gift to foster changes in character and spiritual growth.
Should you wish to join a Life Group / Home Group or start a new Life Group, please contact Kurt Diedrick on 083 325-3092 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Hillside will provide training and guidance to new prospective life group leaders.
Kids for Christ (Gr 1 – Gr 6)
Our Mission statement for KFC is,
To teach our children about their Father in heaven who loves them, to build them up in their faith and knowledge of who Jesus is, and to give them opportunities to share their faith with others through love and service.
We also love to have fun and make new friends – fellowship and family is what we are all about.
Colossians 2 : 6-7:
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
All teens are unique and respected. Through fun and variety the GAP Group (Gr 7 & 8s) is involved in every step through active learning and games to prove to them that following Christ is the greatest adventure ever.
We’re all about being real.
Living life and training ourselves as best we can as Jesus followers, and having a RAD time while we’re at it!!
We always try to find the balance between fun, friendship, spirituality and life skills,
‘cos it’s damn fun and damn hard being a teen!!
Love God. Love Neighbour. Love yourself.
